FAQ
What's the difference between Road, Off-Road and Adventure helmets?
Road helmets are built for street and sport riding — full-face, modular or open-face shells optimised for aerodynamics and highway comfort. Off-Road/MX helmets are lighter, with an extended chin bar and peak visor for dirt and motocross riding, worn with separate goggles rather than a visor. Adventure helmets combine both — a road-style visor with an MX-style peak and ventilation, built for riders who split their time between bitumen and trail.
Do all your helmets meet Australian standards?
Every helmet we sell is ECE 22.05 or ECE 22.06 certified, which is accepted for road use in Australia. Look for the certification sticker on the inside strap of your helmet.
How do I know what size helmet to buy?
Measure the circumference of your head just above your eyebrows and check it against the brand's size chart on the product page — sizing varies slightly between Shoei, Arai, AGV and other manufacturers.
Can I return a helmet if it doesn't fit?
Yes — see our Return & Refund Policy for full details on returns and exchanges.
Choosing The Right Motorcycle Helmet
A motorcycle helmet is the single most important piece of safety gear a rider owns. Beyond meeting certification standards, the right helmet comes down to how and where you ride: road helmets prioritise aerodynamics and noise reduction for highway and sport riding, off-road and motocross helmets prioritise ventilation and a wide field of view for dirt and trail riding, and adventure helmets are built to do both — a visor for the road and a peak for the trail, with a shell designed to handle both environments.
All full-face, modular and off-road helmets sold at Everest Motorcycles are constructed to ECE 22.05 or ECE 22.06 standards, the certification accepted for road use across Australia. Whichever style you choose, always check the brand's specific size chart before buying — fit is the biggest factor in how well a helmet actually protects you in a fall.
